2013 Skoda Octavia-III Generation will launch in India as New Skoda Laura !!

Czech Car Firm Skoda came out with the first Glimpse of 2013 IIIrd Gen. Skoda Octavia which will also be  the Next Gen. Skoda Laura in India & replace the previous version in mid next year. The first gen. of Octavia was launched in back 1996, IInd gen. in year 2004 & after a long 8 year leap it's refreshed with latest IIIrd gen. This Czesh beauty is based on the infamous Volkswgen's MQB platform which emphasises on modular architecture for cars which we are seeing in Audi A3 & VW Golf.

Talking about the dimensional changes, The car is now taller, wider, spacious as well as lighter than the previous version. The newer version offers more interior length(1,782 mm), more knee space(73 mm) & more headroom at the back(980 mm) & increased over-all car length(90 mm) & Breadth(45 mm) than the predecessor.

It's Front look is very much sleek, sharp & compact than the previous blunt & bulky version. Wearing an all new Skoda badge & muscular-sharp lines spreaded all over the body, car looks much more aggressive. With an increased wheel base, shortened front overhang & a C pillar pulled far backward.
Interiors of this car is best in it's segment with high-end fabric and plastic been used which gives you a premium feel. Equipped with full touch screen Canton audio unit makes it Muscly lovable.

   
This car offers various Engine Options, both Petrol as well as Diesel equipped with an all new DSG transmission for maintaining high torques & a 6-speed manual transmission too.
# 1.4 ltrs. TSi Petrol unit producing 138 bhp same as it's sibling VW Jetta offers .
# 1.8 ltrs. TSi Petrol motor producing a whopping 177 bhp.
# 1.6 ltrs. TDi Diesel motor producing 105 bhp.
# 2.0 ltrs. TDi Diesel engine producing 168 bhp.

With that much to offer, Skoda Octavia will prove a big threat to the opponents. Launch is expected in mid next year with 5-10 % price incriment to the previous varient.
